Ralph a couple of weeks back you was talking about great basketball player and you mention MARVIN JACKSON, well that my brother he is doing great married and living in SWEDEN, he was here 3 years ago and still look the same just a lil heavy.
I just start listen to the station…love you guys….you talk about all my concerns….and the direction us black people need to go in….I whish a lot of young black folks would tune in to your station instesd of tuning into those rap station….I think they would seek more knowledg.love u guys….SPRING,TEXAS

Ralph you have shared so much history when comes to Houston sports. The sportcasters do not have a clue when comes historical events not only pertaining to sports, but you cover some historical events that occured in Houston. You are a i-con in Houston
I enjoy listening to your show Ralph Cooper. I started listening when I moved to Houston in 1985. I had to learn something about sports so I could hold a conversation with the guy I was dating then. Well the guy has been expelled from my life, but not your show. I enjoy the comedy flavor you bring to the show too. You show is outstanding. Keep up the great works. Congratulations on your recent recognition… long over due. But you know we all understand that too.

Ralph your guest talk like they got hit in the head too many times, I don’t care how exciting that game would have been everybody would have notice that fight, at that point it wasn’t about the game he was physically assaulted. Also the analogy used with Cobi Bryant and Terrell Owens, the two most lime light dirty players, they keep their cool because of the dirty plays they make. Also boys watching this boys need to know when too far is too far.

Ralph, as a former Worthingite, I have always enjoyed your show. After graduating from Worthing in 1962, then graduating from T.S.U., I relocated to Los Angeles (job offer), returned to Houston in 1990, and have listened to your Show faithfully ever since. I have some photos of Coach Andy Rice, Warren Wells, Otis Taylor, David Latin/Lattin etc., which I plan to share with you. PEACE.

Ralph – Your radio show is always great and is what we need more of. Your TV appearances are outstanding, your command of the language, your demeanor – always top notch. We need more shows like yours to educate our youth about their history.
I listened to your show featuring Gene ‘The Player,’ and thoroughly enjoyed. My objective view is that Gene’s recall on history – impeccable! Gene was, as you stated, a “legend” in Houston. I am sure your listeners, remember Gene, his radio show,the talent shows he hosted, etc – and I feel they should let him know. Gene was the youngest DJ at the time and looked the part of the beautiful music he played. To the women who remember – there must be hundreds, because we had to change the home phone # 5 times because you interrupted the dinner hour – and we were thrilled.
Yes, I am his sister, but my comments are sincere and unbiased. Truthfully.

I am really enjoying your show. I must admit I never listened to your show until my daughter Danyel joined as an intern. I appreciate you giving her the opportunity to be on-air. You have a good spirit which is evident through the fact that you want to “give back” by giving these young adults a chance to show their skills. I am grateful for your influence on them.
I love watching the game of baseball, and I’m also a big football fan. Keep up the good work with your positive attitude and I know the blessings will continue.

Many are unaware of the positive impact and influence summer track has on the youth. It gives them great confidence, as well as build mental and physical focus. Something they can carry with them the rest of their life.
I greatly appreciate Mr. Cooper taking the time to spotlight Track Houston, and encourage all to find out more about summer track clubs and perhaps join a club in the area. There are many kids that participate in these organizations whether it be USATF or AAU.
